Sounds like you had a great time! What did u get?
Hey everyone, I'm back, and I thought I'd share a little bit of my trip with you. I flew into Milwaukee on Tuesday afternoon and waited for my parents at the airport (their flight was delayed). Then we went and settled in at my Gramma's house (oh, let me tell you, I am SO staying at a hotel next time. My Gramma does NOT use heat). Wednesday morning, we woke up to about two inches of snow and got in the car to head to AGPC for brunch. We just barely made our reservation, and had an incredible breakfast (for those of you worried, my dad had a fantastic time, he looked at this trip as a family event of a lifetime, and he really supports my collecting, he knows that I've grown up pretty fast, and that my dolls help keep me young ). I had pancakes, and I'm a vegetarian with a lot of food allergies and they accomodated everything without saying a single word or asking any questions, it was an amazing service experience, and we had such a great time, my parents told everyone on both sides of the family how wonderful it was, and I followed behind to confirm Then we separated, my dad and I to do my shopping, and my mom to do my Christmas shopping. We both went a little wild, lol, but my mom got the help of a young man named Ensley, who just couldn't have been more helpful, cheerful, and kind. Not to worry though, my mom badgered him until he had to accept the tip We had such an incredible time. The windows were a disappointment, I have to admit, but I have a few other pictures that I'll try to post sometime this week
Now, the real purpose of this trip was to celebrate my great-grandmother's 100th birthday. She is 100 years old now, in excellent health. She lives on her own in the house she moved into right after her marriage in 1923. She reads without glasses, and has a quicker wit than I do! Most people think she's about 80, on a good day, 75. Her birthday was wonderful, I saw pretty much every single person on my mom's side of the family, and it was so wonderful! Though there was a lot of family drama, I had an overall great trip. I wish I had a prize for all ya'll who read all the way through.
